While I definitely respect the choice to live an offline life, as someone that grew up orthodox christian in an orthodox country I can't shake off the vibe this dude gives: very LARPy and sounds like an evangelical. Orthodox never tell you that they're sinners and to pray for their sins. That's an americanism.

Have you ever hung out with deacons or seminarians? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_Prayer

Yeah, we do ask for forgiveness for our sins during prayer too, but not in casual conversation. If you do that where I'm from everyone will look at you like you're some weirdo. And pretty much everyone's an orthodox christian there.

I know that about the laity. But no matter the country you’ll see language like this used in letters and writings by those serving in or discerning non-lay/ordained vocations (I would imagine).

Every convert to Orthodoxy I've seen in the US is like this. Converts to Catholicism, too, but definitely not cradle Catholics.

Yeah, converts to orthodoxy have been the weirdest people I've encountered yet. They all have this very evangelical way of talking. We don't do any of that. We live orthodoxy not only as religion but as culture too and it comes in many forms, whereas converts all seem to live it as this very narrowly defined thing where they all sound and act the same.
