It wasn't Nature Materials, but it was one of the top journals for that branch of materials science. I think we were shooting for IF 5 to 10, but I wasn't involved in the work beyond editing the rebuttal.


IF is a ridiculous measure in the first place. It says nothing about quality. It once was an interesting number from a purely observational point of view, but once journals are actually rated by it, it has no meaning any more.
