PG would say the type of procrastination in the NPR article (missing the vehicle registration date) is "good" procrastination.

Here's a link to the 2010 HBS commencement address that his book (and this interview) are based on: http://hbr.org/2010/07/how-will-you-measure-your-life/ar/pr

MSM links create traffic spikes. There is a (somewhat small) spike in August that pg attributed to a PC World article. See http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2865985 and the article here http://www.pcworld.com/article/237616/baseball_bat_sales_ris...

Perhaps the Dec spike is from the Inquirer article which links to HN. http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2130668/facebook-pr...

Very impressive.

There is great potential here but how are they going to get around the regulatory challenges.

A similar site (which charged interest) recently shut down - http://prosperlending.blogspot.com/2009/01/fynanz-halts-p2p-...

that and itll be hard to justify the interest lost on a loan to a college student...someone that loans $100k to a student and doesn't get paid back for 8 years is losing all the interest s/he would have earned if they had kept that money in a CD or some other low interest earning instrument...thats almost $40k? it would have to be set up so that students can take small aggregate loans that are then "bundled" and paid back...it wont be easy but they have a good idea

I find it very odd that I cannot pay my Adwords bill with Google Checkout.
