I mean, I thought They Might Be Giants were kinda well known?

I have heard of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and My Bloody Valentine (although I may be thinking of Bullet For My Valentine), though I don't own any of their albums and I can't recall where I know them from. I think both of them were mentioned in some absolute Z-tier fanfic I read once.

Thanks, I completely missed that.

It's too late for me to edit my above post, so for anyone else who wants to take a look: https://archive.org/details/aadamjacobs?and[]=creator%3A%22t...

No, that's malicious compliance. If the owners of those websites would just stop ignoring visitors' right to privacy they wouldn't be showing those banners (yes, I know the website of the EU also has such a banner, lazy devs are lazy).

For rally I can pay 120 EUR for a year and watch all the WRC and ERC content I want. Formula E, on the other hand, is a pain in the neck.

It's weird how some sports have it figured out and others don't.

Seconding or thirding martial arts (MA). I do Kung Fu, but I'd bet all the internet cookies there's at least one Brazilian Jujutsu practitioner on HN.

On the point of tech in MA, I recall seeing a documentary where some people got a Xing Yi Quan master to perform a form in mocap gear so they could analyse his movements. I think there's still a lot that kinesiology could learn from the way different people move (especially from Inclusive Karate practitioners).

Stepmania comes to mind, although the legal status of the content the community made for it is dubious at best.

If you like Endless Sky you may also like Naev, which is very, very similar.

I've had pretty good luck finding bands on 7Digital when they don't have a Bandcamp. I'm sure they aren't perfect, but they seem better than Apple at least.

Maybe Trump should make another TV appearance promoting Tesla.

I love Tesler!

I mean, everything is computer so yeah.

Imagine being on hacker news and having an iPhone instead of a Pinephone /jk.

I'm always annoyed when some real-world good or service is only available to people with a smartphone, especially when it wasn't always so. Blue Bikes (rentable bicycles) were in the past usable with a membership card, but it got phased out in favour of an app.

Last time I checked there was an option on the main menu to download user-made campaigns.
