Hi there! I scraped the web apps from PH, that is true.

"It would have been great if you actually rated the execution of each site, i.e. your own personal opinion of 1 to 5. As well as potential market size or that company's current MRR (as is popular on IndieHackers)"

I see what you mean, but this 9,000 list had a different goal than that. I plan to do something like this, but then I would have a fairly smaller list than this. Just this list took me 2 weeks to gather from start to finish, it would have been much more if I take the time and rate every one of them.

"Is it fair to say "validated" just means "submitted to product hunt"? If so, I think it would be better to state that up front."

No, I hope that I can clarify that for you. I used the following criterias when scraping from PH: - more than 249 upvotes (so it's fairly popular) - has more than 5 reviews - BUT the rating is lower than 3.21

This way my goal was to get popular but "badly" executed products from there.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are disappointed - do you want me to refund you? By the way, my next list will focus on Web apps completely. If you want, you can give me your email and either choose to: - get a refund - give you a massive, unique discount once my new list gets posted.

Tell me what you think. :D

Thanks for replying -- I appreciate you sharing your methodology! No need for refund, I feel the price is fair.

Hi everybody!

Since the first version of Validated ideas got good feedbacks, I decided to extend it. Now it has more than 9,000 products (iOS, Android, Web apps, Extensions).

This list is good for people looking for business ideas that are already validated (so you know that there is demand) but were executed badly so you can improve it based on the reviews. It's also good to get a feeling about the market and how people should avoid mistakes when building products.

For the first 500 buyers (465 left) there is a more than 50% discount.

I hope you find it useful. Happy new year!

Hi there, thanks for making this! I just bought it and will have a look. I've been learning flutter and godot the past weeks, I'll pick one of the ideas and try to implement it. Happy new year as well and good luck for your ventures!

Really happy to hear this! Thank you very much!

I wish you good luck with your app and have a happy new year you too!

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. :)

I'm sorry! Noted. Thank you for pointing it out rather than deleting it. Appreciate it!

Hi everybody! I wanted to come up with an idea for my next side project, but I got stuck.

That's when I got an idea to collect actual products (apps) from the app store. So I did just that.

After finding a few of them valuable, I decided to make it an info product and sell it on Gumroad.

I must say that not all of the 5,000 apps are good ideas or they are worth the effort, but I think there are some of them that you could execute better than the original.

Note: these apps are from the (google) play store. Filters (parameters) I used: - each app has more than 100,000+ downloads - lower than 3.2 ratings - active, all of them were updated in the last few months

You can find a few examples in the Gumroad page.

Have a nice day and stay safe!

Do same for webapp and saas
