I keep trying and then moving on. Is there a guide on how to actually use all the features or maybe a quick set up guide? I find myself using JUST search and no customization. I have 0 issue with paying if I use it but need a guide or examples. Please share

I know I will be downvoted but technically, they did commit a crime by coming here illegally.

I actually think this highlights an important point: the majority of "criminals" in the statistics are likely not to be criminals in any serious sense, and would pose no serious harm to any community whatsoever. After all, the US is a notorious over-incarcerator, and crimes are selectively enforced to keep the underclass in place (you may recall after all that the richest man in the country is an illegal immigrant).

This also underplays the current cruelty of the US system, far out of proportion with any proper policing of immigration (which obviously reasonable people can argue about). So, I don't think you're wrong exactly, and you can play the victim if you want ("I know I will be downvoted", sad violin).

Agree heavily with this. I will be adding more stats on this soon, but you can see on the map chart at the bottom that these detainees are overwhelmingly categorized (by ICE) as low or no threat level, even those convicted of minor offenses & misdemeanors. Very few are “Threat Level 1”, which are the “violent” offenders we hear so much about.

You're downvoted because you're wrong. Illegal entry can be a crime, but that's far from the only way to there the country without legal status, and last I knew visa overstays were the most common immigration violation.

Is visa overstay not a crime?

It is not, it's a separate type of offense called a civil infraction, which is akin to a parking ticket or vehicle moving violation.

Oh cool, thanks, I didn't know

So the stock tomorrow will jump up 10% on this news.

Any way to add something like this to fastmail sieve system? thanks

Thanks for this. Any other blocklists you can share?

I have signed up off and on. For me, the starter is just a tad to few searches per month. If I had 400 I would most likely just pay the $5 out of support for the team as I am also hoping to see Orion do better (bitwarden issue)

I have some months where I search for stuff I already know. Like I goto url bar and just type imdb which then initiates a search. I know the dang url but am lazy lol.

I wish the team tons of luck, I monitor the pricing page monthly usually, just hoping to see a small uptick in starter limits as unlimited is just not my use case. $8.00 for unlimited and again, I would sign up just to support them.

So what is everyone using for search?

duckduckgo. It is getting better. I rarely need to fall back to a Google search. ChatGPT 4 is good at getting to the specific information that I am looking for and I can get the source links.

Kagi.

love this, now to find a guide how to set it up on my synology

There's a docker image with some instructions on Wiki, shouldn't be too tricky to transfer over. If I end up making it work I'll do a PR for the project wiki for Synology install steps.

AFAIK some people have used it on synology successfully in the past. A PR including specific steps would be amazing though

I spent about a month looking for detailed guides on how to add individual services to my Synology and just constantly being frustrated.

Then I found an extremely detailed but very opinionated guide on how to setup a suite of apps with docker compose and ssh because the author's were very much against the GUI and built in apps. It's been a much smoother and easier experience installing services since I no longer need to seek out half baked guides on someone who got it working good enough for them on their NAS.

Link?

The Docker instructions work well, I set it up on my Unraid server.

Not me.... This is a 30+% increase for my 2 year plan. I have no need for the "extra" things. If I wanted them, I would pay for them. I now have til April to find another solution for 1 pc and about 7tb. Worst case, I will just buy an external and ship the drive to my parents. Use my Synology for local backup, and then the offsite drive. Not ideal but better than this increase.

Not to mention how BB is handling the pushback of the price increase by gaslighting their users.

I switched to Arq Backup the last night BB increased their pricing and refused to honor their promise to let me pay for another year at the current rate.

lol, yea, first thing I saw and even after 2 years I am impressed. Brave has been my goto on my mac forever it seems. I have tried everything but Arc. I want to like safari but lack of extensions (that I use) kill it for me.

Try Orion Browser, it uses the same WebKit engine as Safari but lets you install extensions from the Chrome Web Store (yes, uBlock Origin works)

Orion also has an iOS version, and afaik they are also working on making a Windows version as well

As much as I’d _love_ to see a windows version of Orion, I’m afraid we’re still far from it https://orionfeedback.org/d/2895-can-we-pleas-get-this-app-o...

What’s wrong with Firefox ?

Nothing, I just like Orion.

Like all other third-party browsers, Orion has no Keychain support, no auto-filling of 2FA codes, no support for Hide my Email / Private Relay, and no synchronization of Bookmarks/History with Launchbar and iCloud. Thanks but no thanks, I like my Safari.

Not sure where you got that but for the sake of facts:

Orion has Keychain support.

Orion has auto-filling 2FA codes.

Orion has iCloud sync.

If any one of those are not working as expected you should report it to orionfeedback.org

Private relay is an Apple service that is not available to third party apps.
